Where did you source bulk greenery or floral stems online that actually arrived fresh and held up through a 90-degree outdoor ceremony?

Where did you source bulk greenery or floral stems online that actually arrived fresh and held up through a 90-degree outdoor ceremony? Answering my own question after our July wedding survived 91 degrees: I ordered from a bulk flower farm site and a wholesale greenery supplier, and the difference was all in the prep.

What held up:

  • Italian ruscus and salal — basically indestructible, looked fresh at 10 PM.
  • Seeded eucalyptus — wilted slightly by hour six but in a pretty, droopy way.
  • Carnations and mums for the actual blooms. Roses struggled; peonies would have died on sight.

What saved us:

  • Delivery scheduled for two days before, stems recut and in water in air conditioning immediately.
  • Centerpieces assembled the morning of, kept in a cool garage until the last possible minute.
  • A misting bottle and a bridesmaid who was not afraid to use it.

Order 15% more than you need. Some stems always arrive sad, and you will want to be picky.
