Are wedding flowers overrated?
Are wedding flowers overrated? They are optional, not a requirement for a beautiful wedding, and their value depends on how much you personally enjoy them. Fresh flowers can bring color and atmosphere to a space, but you do not need elaborate installations or a centerpiece on every surface. If the floral quote feels out of proportion to your priorities, concentrate on a bouquet, a ceremony focal point, or a few arrangements where guests will actually notice them. You can also ask about seasonal flowers, rented decor, potted plants, or reusing ceremony arrangements at the reception when the logistics allow it. DIY is not automatically cheaper once supplies, delivery, storage, and your time are included. Choose flowers because you want them, rather than because a wedding checklist says you should.
